Memorandum on joint activities

The Memorandum on joint activities regarding the ecological improvement was signed in the city of Myrhorod. 

On the initiative of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, a memorandum was signed between the Myrhorod City Council, represented by Serhii SOLOMAKHA, and the Chairman of the Academic Council of our university, Vitalii KURYLO, on joint activities regarding the environmental improvement of the territory in Myrhorod city.

Within the framework of the signed memorandum, naturalists of the university, teams of other educational subdivisions located in the city of Myrhorod, educational institutions of all levels and all interested persons will be active participants in the implementation of the green course of the city’s development.

Since 2019, similar projects have already been successfully implemented by the team of the faculty in the Luhansk region when developing a plan for the reconstruction of green zones in the city of Starobilsk in two locations. The main goal of implementing the main provisions of the memorandum will be to increase the ecological attractiveness of the city of Myrhorod thanks to the use of modern approaches to environmental improvement. All this will contribute to the improvement of recreational conditions, both for the city community and for the development of green tourism in the region. Special attention will be paid to the involvement of the youth of Myrhorod in these projects and their active participation in improving the ecological culture of the population and guests of the city using modern approaches.

The student self-government of the faculty is already planning events for April that will start the implementation of the Memorandum. The planned events will be dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of our Alma Mater and the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
