Events up to the 102th anniversary of the university at the FFL

The Faculty of Foreign Languages held a number of events dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the university.

Translation Studies Department held a regular meeting of the Educational and Methodological Center “SvitLingva” under the topic “Translation of historical texts on the material of documents on the history of the creation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, which was attended by education students of 1-4 courses. This meeting was dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the foundation of our majestic alma mater. While working with the text, the applicants got acquainted with the thorny route, which had to go through the university for their history, achievements and well -known graduates. Particular attention was paid to the peculiarities of translation of proper names and dates.

In addition, a competition for artistic translation was announced, which will result in the publication of the best works in the collection of artistic translations of employees and higher education applicants ” Спочатку було слово…

The Department of Romano -German Philology was held online – writing a dictator about the history of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Faculty of Foreign Languages, during which everyone could demonstrate their written competence.

The Department of Oriental Languages held a meeting of a discussion circle of future Oriental experts, and the topic of the event was “Modern Trends of Research in Oriental Studies”. The following questions were covered during the discussion: History of the Creation of the Department of Oriental Languages in LTSNU; history of LNU international relations with China and Japan; Current tendencies of research in the field of Oriental Studies within the framework of international scientific and practical conferences, which is held annually by the department (Ukraine-China: dialogue of cultures, current tendencies of Oriental studies).

The Department of Foreign Languages by specific purposes was held by the master class “Image of the modern teacher in the situation of the situation of crisis and the general context of stressogenicity” for higher education applicants at scientific pedagogical staff of the faculty.
