Congratulations on the anniversary of the University!

We sincerely congratulate the entire university staff and students, as well as each of us, on the 102nd anniversary of the foundation of our native Alma Mater!

Dear students, teachers, employees, veterans, graduates, partners, friends; current and future generations of our university community; everyone who is involved in the great and glorious family of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University!

At all times of its existence, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has always been, is and remains an educational, scientific, socio-cultural center of Ukraine, a leader of higher education, an initiator and leader of educational reforms, a guardian of universal and national values. And since 2014, it has been an indomitable fighter for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and the future of the Ukrainian nation in the progressive world and European community!

Every time when a threat hung over the University – during the Stalinist repressions, the Second World War, the armed aggression of Russia in the East of Ukraine in 2014, the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine in 2022 – it, without losing its honor and reputation, always won, recovered and occupied again leadership positions in the educational and scientific space of Ukraine!

When the Russian Federation launched a bloody war and genocide against the Ukrainian people, we were forced to move to free Ukrainian land for the second time!

We are infinitely grateful to the Poltava Oblast – the authorities and residents of the Poltava, Lubny, and Myrhorod territorial communities, who have become our new home; in all available ways, they help and create favorable conditions for the development of the university in the conditions of war, predict the future of the university in the post-war period.

We thank all partners and friends who, in the most difficult time for Ukraine and the University, find resources and strengthen the educational, scientific, informational, material and technical base of our Alma Mater.

We are proud that the members of the university family include more than 2,000 students participating in hostilities, who have been heroically defending the independence and sovereignty of our country since 2014! It was before our eyes that the strongest, indomitable, heroic and highly professional army in the world, the pride of the Ukrainian nation, was formed, able to repel the Russian aggressor and win.

We bow our heads to our teachers and students who died for their country. Eternal memory to them. However, they proved that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has always been, is and will be an outpost of Ukrainianism, a consistent leader of the Ukrainian national idea among the population of Ukraine, wherever it is located – in Luhansk Region, Poltava Region or other cities where the war scattered our students and teachers.

Our dear students and colleagues! You are our pride, hope, and sure future! The future of the University depends on each of us, our unity and cohesion! Everything depends on us!

We are convinced that very soon the Ukrainian Flag will fly proudly over all of Ukraine, and our majestic and indomitable University will expand its activities at all educational bases of the Luhansk region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea – Luhansk, Rovenky, Kadiivka, Brianka, Starobilsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Lysychansk, Shchastia, Alushta. We will also work in Poltava, Lubny, and Myrhorod, which have become our homes!

Our common dream is a united, strong, rich, independent and cathedral Ukraine; powerful, progressive and innovative University – the educational, scientific and cultural center of Ukraine and Europe!

So, let’s go to our dream!

We wish everyone good health, family well-being, unquenchable interest in life, relentless movement forward to new achievements for the benefit of national education and science and prosperity of the University! Forward to VICTORY!
