Students of the colleges took part in the thematic event “The language of the people is its most sacred wealth.”

On the International Mother Language Day – February 21, 2023, students and teachers of the Professional College and the Starobilsk Professional College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University became participants in the thematic event “The language of the people is its most sacred wealth”.

The event was organized and held by the student self-government of the colleges. During the event students recalled the history of the creation of the holiday, emphasized the importance of the Ukrainian language for the unity of the people and the development of the state.

Students recited the poems by T. Shevchenko, V. Sosiura, L. Kostenko, L. Ukrainka.

We must always remember that language is the most important, richest, strongest means of connecting past, present and future generations of the people into one great historical whole. Language is a bright sign of the vital activity of the nation and the state.
