Seminar “Academic Integrity in Written Works”

On February 21, a scientific seminar “Academic Integrity in Written Works” for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences  was held.

The speaker and organizer was Iryna Kyrpychova, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology. During the meeting, the applicants learned about the university’s requirements for academic integrity, types of academic writing and rules of academic writing.

The speaker of the event told about the elements of the analysis of scientific works for plagiarism, confirming with specific examples the verification of scientific studies by the Unichesk system function (LLC “Antiplagiat”), emphasized the need to correctly design the list of used sources, comply with the rules of citation and design links to the works of other authors. The seminar took place in an active dialogue, friendly atmosphere, aroused the interest of the applicants. We hope that such a constructive conversation will contribute to the quality of scientific research, expand the set of useful skills of future specialists, and interest in research work.
