Medals of the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship

On February 13-17, 2023, the first-year students majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” won medals at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship, which was held  in the city of Kolomyia.

In the competition among juniors, in the weight category up to 74 kg, Oleksandr Luzhbin became the absolute champion, showing the best results in all three exercises-categories (squat 247.5 kg, bench press 147.5 kg, deadlift 225 kg), in the total triathlon 620 kg.

Oleksandr is trained by the teacher of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports Mykola Viktorovych Barannik.

Sofia Ruban won four silver medals in competitions among juniors in the weight category up to 76 kg. Sofia trains under the guidance of Oleksii Mykolayovych Bychkov and Danylo Oleksandrovych Kovalov.
