LTSNU: Implementation of Internationalization

Online training was held on the problems and prospects of the development of international activities and internationalization of higher education institutions.

On February 14, as part of the implementation of the German-Ukrainian project “THEA Ukraine X: Multiplication Trainings for Higher Education Administrators in Ukraine” (“THEA Ukraine X: Multiplication Trainings for Higher Education Administrators in Ukraine”), an online training was held on the basis of our university. LNU Goes Global: Open Horizons” on the problems and prospects of the development of international activity and internationalization of higher education institutions.

The moderator of the online training is the Deputy Director of the ER IEB for Science, International and Grant Activities, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yehor Chebotarov.

The “THEA Ukraine X” project is one of the most authoritative in the European Union for training managers of international science and education (its co-organizers are FH Münster University of Applied Sciences, DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, Federal Ministry of Education and Research and WANDELWERK Zentrum für Qualitätsentwicklung). This phase of the project started in February 2022 and should be completed in June this year.

German partners, representatives of other higher education institutions of Ukraine and the national professional public organization Ukrainian Marketing Association were offered speeches – presentations by the Head of the Department of International Relations Professor Iryna Myhovych, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies Associate Professor Hennadii Mohylnyi, the Director of the University Library Professor Maria Pochynkova. The online training was attended by the head of the Postgraduate Department, Associate Professor Olha Kutsevska; the head of the LTSNU Commission on Science, International and Grant Activities, Professor Eduard Potapenko, and members of this newly created commission, representatives of structural subdivisions, students. 

A detailed analysis of the online training by “THEA Ukraine X” specialists is ahead. At the same time, at the stage of preliminary consideration of its materials, it was decided to recommend to other higher education institutions of Ukraine to implement the approaches and practices of LTSNU regarding the regulation of international activities by internal documents, the experience of implementing the project Support by the European Union to higher education institutions in the East of Ukraine “Intensification of Influence of Teachers of the Luhansk Region on the Processes of Reconciliation and Peace-Building” (the leader is Chairman of the Supervisory Council Vitalii Kurylo, ERASMUS project “Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education on the Use of Innovative Teaching Tools (MoPED – No. 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) » (the head is the Director of the ER IPMIT Hennadii Mohylnyi) and several Polish-Ukrainian projects (NAWA, IDUB, NCN) of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (head is Professor Viacheslav Chebotarov).

The recommendations of the moderator of the online training on improving the international activities and internationalization of LTSNU (a mandatory condition of “THEA Ukraine X” is the presentation of such proposals by each participant for their institution) were forwarded to the international department of LTSNU and the commission for science, international and grant activities.
