Valentine’s Day in Myrhorod

The Valentine’s Day united the students of the ER IEB, IPMIT, FNS, Brianka and Rubizhne Colleges of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University located in Myrhorod.

During the event, students expressed their love for Ukraine together, because Valentine’s Day is about love not only for your loved ones and relatives, but also for your Motherland!

“With Ukraine in my heart! ” – this is exactly how love sounds today in the hearts of all Ukrainians. Our event was held under this slogan. The winners created some presents, made their own patriotic Valentine cards, which were later handed to passers-by in the central square of the city with words of congratulations.

We remembered the well-known poem by Volodymyr Sosiura – “Love Ukraine like the sun, love it.” This is a classic appeal poem written in 1944, which belongs to the masterpieces of civic poetry. At the time of writing the work, Ukraine suffered significant losses during the Second World War – we are talking about the loss of population, property, and economic losses. The appeal poem was supposed to stimulate the patriotism of the war-weary people. The main idea of the work is a demonstration of the harmonious unity of people and the state and a call to glorify the Motherland with deeds.

Do not forget to visit the sculptural composition “Stone of Love” – a symbol of love and loyalty. According to ancient legends, there is a stone of love in a small town in Galilei, where Jesus blessed the newlyweds, and 25 such stones were brought to Ukraine from there. They were presented to the best cities of Ukraine. Myrhorod became one of them, which is why we have such an opportunity to touch the beautiful.

On Valentine’s Day, teachers and students sincerely wish everyone a peaceful sky above their heads, incredibly bright and sincere love, good emotions and soul warmth, beloved and dear people nearby, extraordinary joy of the soul and a boundless feeling of happiness!
