Guest lecture on the basics of the community sustainability model

An open guest lecture on the foundations of the community resilience model “Stress Resistance and Opportunities for Recovery. Psychological First Aid” was held for students majoring in “Social Work”.

February 9, 2023 students majoring in “Social Work” of the educational program “Social Work. Social pedagogy. Practical Psychology” had an open guest lecture on the foundations of the community resilience model “Stress Resistance and Opportunities for Recovery. First Psychological Aid”, which was carried out by Hanna Yefimtseva, commander and methodologist of the public organization “EdCamp Ukraine”, a certified expert on non-discrimination in education, a member of the subject expert commission for anti-discrimination examination of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a graduate student of the Department of Social Works of the Communal Institution “Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy” of the Kharkiv Regional Council.

Students received additional professional knowledge on identifying symptoms of stress, its signs, as well as techniques for providing psychological first aid in war conditions; leared about the algorithm of actions of a specialist with a client who is in a state of shock during a siren, natural disaster, terror or war using the “3 yes” method and the “4 elements” self-regulation protocol; worked out stress relief exercises using self-training.

We express our gratitude to Hanna Yefimtseva for extremely relevant and useful material, since the skills of providing psychological first aid to clients in wartime are absolutely necessary for future specialists in the social sphere. We are waiting for new meetings!
