A meeting of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational and Social Institutions was held.

On February 2, 2023, a meeting of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational and Social Institutions was held. Among the most important issues, the conditions for admission to the master’s degree in the specialty “Public Management and Administration”, “Management” and the risks of the admission company in 2023 were discussed.

The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Postgraduate Education, Professor Volodymyr Zablotskyi and the Acting Head of the Department, Professor Tetiana Sych, determined the areas of joint activity of the dean’s office staff and teachers of the Department to ensure the formation of a contingent of master’s degrees for the 2023-2024 academic year. 

In the next item on the agenda, Professor Olena Kravchenko analyzed the scientific work of the department for 2022, according to the results of which the Department took the first place among the socio-humanitarian departments of the University, and the some teachers of the Department occupy leading positions in the ranking of scientific and pedagogical workers of the University (T.V. Sych, O.I. Kravchenko,  N.S. Vasynova). During the discussion of the issue, the main tasks to improve the efficiency of the scientific work of the Department were defined.

The Associate Professor Olga Ptakhina outlined the problem of implementing academic mobility of master’s students. The speaker spoke about the forms, types, tasks of academic mobility, results of the analysis of regulatory and legal documentation on this issue. During the discussion, the main directions of the implementation of academic mobility of master’s) students majoring in Public Management and Administration”, “Management” (educational program “Management of an Educational Institution”) were determined.

The Associate Professor Nadiia Vasynova reported on the state of organization of the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference “Integration of Science and Management Practice in the Conditions of Socio-Cultural Transformations” on the basis of the department. The conference is scheduled for May 25, 2023. The work of the conference is planned for the following sections: Theory and history of public administration; Mechanisms of public administration; Public Service; Local Government; Problems of ensuring the sustainable development of countries in the context of modern world processes; Management of educational institutions; Management psychology: today’s challenges; National and patriotic education in conditions of external and internal challenges; Management and administration of countering hybrid threats to national security. Participation in the conference is free.

The guarantor of the program, Professor Olena Kravchenko, who noted the high level of preparation of students, presented the results of the final attestation of master’s students majoring in 073 “Management” (educational program “Educational Institution Management”).

Methodical works were also approved at the meeting and issues related to the organization of the educational process, internships and management practice in the 2nd semester were discussed.
