Presentation of the students’ works

A presentation of the students’ works of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts took place at the Panas Myrny Literary and Memorial Museum (Poltava city). 

On February 2, the exhibition of educational and qualification works of students of the Design Department and the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was opened.

Recently, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts and the Poltava Panas Myrny Literary and Memorial Museum. The museum immediately offered to hold some kind of joint event. It was decided to make a presentation of educational and qualification works for the year 2022 of the Design Department and the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts.

The Acting Director Iryna Prodan, director of the ER ICA, and NatalIa DigtIar, head of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, gave the opening speech. 

The Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts has been operating in Poltava since 2015. Well-known artists, sculptors, masters of decorative art work at the Department. The teachers of the Department are members of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, the Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine. These are candidates of sciences, associate professors – A.S. Aroian, N.M. Digtiar, K.Yu Tregubov. Senior teachers – D.O. Korshunov, I.A. Gurzhii. Teachers – M.F. Bolyukh, O.V. Sobolevskyi, N.H. Mikeladze.

Students have the opportunity to master painting, drawing, composition, art history, graphic techniques, sculpture, the basics of computer modeling, digital technologies, etc.

The Department graduates artists of fine and decorative and applied arts who can work in the field of culture and art.

The Design Department joined the ER ICA and moved to Poltava in 2022. Honored education workers of Ukraine, members of the Union of Designers of Ukraine, members of the National Association of Artists and Sculptors of Ukraine, members of the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation, members of the Union of Professionals of Ukraine in the Beauty Industry work at the Department. These are doctors and candidates of sciences – V.V. Borysov, V.M. Kardashov, S.V. Borysova, I.V. Savenko, O.P. Kostiuk. Teachers – O.P. Hetman, N.V. Diachenko.

The Design Department graduates specialists majoring in “Graphic Design” and “Hair Design and Makeup Art”. The basis of the training of future specialists in the “Graphic Design” specialty is the ability to use modern general and specialized software in professional activities; creation of graphic objects of the visual and informational environment in advertising activities by means of project-graphic modeling.

The specialty “Hair Design and Makeup Art” prepares specialists from the beauty industry, highly qualified specialists in hair design and makeup art, who are able to realize their professional designation as fashion designers and makeup stylists.

The exhibition was also attended by teachers and students of the “Audiovisual Art and Production” specialty. Future TV journalists practiced in video shooting.
