“Ecological Safety” of the National Recovery Plan of Ukraine

On January 31, a discussion meeting was held regarding the discussion of the “Environmental Safety” section of the National Recovery Plan of Ukraine.
The dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the head of the Luhansk branch of the All-Ukrainian Environmental League Natalia MATSAI took part in a discussion meeting on the “Environmental Safety” section of the National Recovery Plan of Ukraine.
The discussion was organized by the public organization Agency for Effective Solutions within the framework of the “Voice of Civil Society” project regarding the “Environmental Safety” section of the National Recovery Plan of Ukraine. Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, public nature protection organizations, national natural parks, institutions, universities, as well as representatives of mass media took part in the discussion.
The coordinator of the activities of the working group on environmental safety, preservation of biological and landscape diversity, development of national ecological and Emerald networks, reproduction and balanced use of natural resources, formation and implementation of effective climate policy, waste management system, environmental monitoring, digital transformation, implementation of European directives, reforming the nature protection industry was Tetiana TYMOCHKO, head of VEL, adviser to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.
211 leading scientists, representatives of authorities, public organizations, and international experts joined the working group. The goal of the joint work was to identify and develop proposals for priority reforms, normative legal acts, the adoption and implementation of which are necessary in the war and post-war periods, development of projects for the restoration of environmental protection infrastructure. Some issues of this section that require further improvement were presented for discussion.
