Exam for master’s students at the Design Department

On January 13, there was a public defense of qualification works by students majoring in “Graphic Design”.

During the open defense, 12 authors of qualifying papers had the opportunity to present the results of their work and scientific achievements. The examination committee headed by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Olena Polishchuk (Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University) worked fruitfully, as evidenced by the positive result.

The students decently presented the results of their scientific research, thoroughly understood the problems important for modern graphic design. In particular, Hleb Borisov highlighted the principles of designing an author’s polygraphic publication; Veronika Mykolaienko investigated the problem of concept art of characters created on the basis of real prototypes; Marko Mosienko presented the development of a designer’s personal portfolio website using modern no-code tools.

Interesting and relevant questions were asked by the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts Iryna Prodan, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Design Volodymyr Kardashov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Viacheslav Borisov.

The head of the examination commission, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Olena Polishchuk praised the works of Hleb Borisov, Veronika Mykolaienko, Mark Mosiienko, and Angelina Chepel. They received the recommendations of the DEC before entering the postgraduate school.

Students proved a high level of theoretical and practical training, demonstrated the skills and competences that determine the profile of a graphic design specialist.
