Meeting with the Head of the Council of Young Scientists and Students

A meeting of Bachelor students with the Head of the Council of Young Scientists and Students was held.

The Council of Young Scientists and Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is a permanent voluntary, collegial self-governing public organization of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, whose members are students of various levels, PhD students, and scientific staff. The purpose of the Council’s activities is to create conditions for the development and realization of the scientific potential of the university’s youth and the exchange of knowledge by uniting young scientists. Thus, as part of the popularization of the activities of young scientists at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, a meeting was held by Olha Korinska, Head of the Council, PhD student.

Students studying Translation (English and a second foreign language (Chinese)); Language and literature (Japanese, English); Language and Literature (Chinese, English); Language and Literature (French, English), as well as Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Translation Srudies Department Svitlana Perova, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages Daria Perepadia, Ph.D. , associate professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Lyudmila Shapovalova, lecturer of the Department of Oriental Languages Oleksandra Borzova and lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Liudmyla Ovcharova.

Olha Korinska presented the features of the Council’s activities, its main tasks and directions of work, since this organization is key in supporting and coordinating the scientific activities of the awardees, promotes the popularization of the results of scientific activities and the organization of various scientific events. In addition, Ms. Korinska drew attention to the fact that next year the Council will hold an international interdisciplinary scientific and practical conference. She invited all those present to take part in it to discuss current problems, issues and prospects for the development of education and science.

Special attention was paid to the issue of academic integrity among students and scientific and pedagogical workers of the university. The key points of the concept of academic integrity, the need for its observance and responsibility in case of its violation are highlighted.

As part of scientific events held by the Council of Young Scientists, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages were invited to participate in seminars and trainings, which will be organized since February 2023.
