The Ukrainian Language Department congratulates the winners of international competitions – Anastasia Bespala and Oleksandr Heletii.
During November – December 2022, students our university participated in the I (university) and II (regional) stages of international competitions.
Thus, on December 10, the II (regional) stage of the XIII Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition took place; on December 11 was held the II (regional) stage of the XXIII International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk. The victory of students of our university in two international competitions was good news at the end of this difficult year.
Students of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism took part in the regional stage of the competitions. Competing with the students of our university were students of the East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University and the Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E. O. Didorenko.
The third-year student majoring in 014.01 “Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature. Language and Literature (English)” Anastasia Bespala won, taking 1st place in both competitions – in the II (regional) stage of the XIII International Language and Literature Competition named after Taras Shevchenko and the II (regional) stage of the XXIII International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk.
“I am indescribably happy for the victory. I believed that I would be able to adequately defend the honor of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, and honestly hoped to win one of the prize places. I felt incredibly happy when I found out that I managed to take the first places in both contests. I hope that next year I will be able to demonstrate my knowledge and skills in the Ukrainian language and literature,” the student shared her thoughts.
The fourth-year student majoring in 014.01 “Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” Oleksandr Heletii took 2nd place in the 2nd (regional) stage of the 13th International Language and Literature Competition named after Taras Shevchenko.
“To be honest, I didn’t want to participate in the competition. I think it’s because I didn’t really believe in my abilities. Everyone has moments of doubt. It is a completely natural feeling. But I dared to try and I did not regret it. Thereby, I once again confirmed the truth of life that higher education is not received – it is acquired”, Oleksandr Heletii gladly shared his impressions.
The teaching staff of the Ukrainian Language Department sincerely congratulates the winners and wishes them solid knowledge, new scientific achievements and victories.
