Saint Nicholas Came to Us!

Students of the university held a festive performance “Saint Nicholas came to us!” for children of the Myrhorod Special School.

Here, in Ukraine, children look forward to December 19 with great impatience. On the eve of the holiday, they write letters to Saint Nicholas, and on the day before the holiday, they remember all their good and bad deeds. Because polite children will definitely find a gift under the pillow, and naughty ones – a harsh one.

So the moment came when St. Nicholas visited the children of the Myrhorod Special School. Students of three structural subdivisions of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: Brianka Vocational College, the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business, and the Faculty of Natural Sciences, together with the deputies for social and humanitarian work, prepared and held a festive performance with fun competitions, relays and dances, in which schoolchildren gladly participated. All the participants of the holiday received toy souvenirs made by students. Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University together with the school administration prepared a sweet table for the pupils in advance.

At the end of the holiday, there was a presentation of gifts from Nicholas: a set of sports equipment for the children of the institution. Everyone was satisfied, promised to be polite and wait for Nicholas next year!
