Participation in events for the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhorii Skovoroda

On December 3, all of Ukraine and the entire civilized world celebrate the birthday of the famous Ukrainian philosopher, poet, teacher, and composer.

Until this day, a number of events have been held in Ukraine to celebrate this glorious date. Our university was also a co-organizer of one of these events – the International Digital Student Intellectual Tournament, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of H. Skovoroda #СловоSkovoroda: we will build a better world.

The tournament was held on December 8, 2022 at the Kharkiv Korolenko State Scientific Library. The specially invited guest was Bohdan Beniuk, who warmly greeted the participants. Tasks were performed on the Kahoot platform. The meeting began very interestingly and excitingly. This mood accompanied the participants throughout the tournament. First, the students showed their knowledge of the aphorisms of the famous philosopher. After that, they made a cloud of words from his sayings, in which students characterized the artist from different aspects not only of his creative nature, but also mentioned his pedagogical activity, as well as, for example, the fact that Skovoroda was a vegetarian.

After that, charged with energy and pleasant emotions, they went directly to the game. It turned out to be very interesting, meaningful, revealed some facts that were not known to everyone. The issue of the museum, in which the statue of the great philosopher stood, despite being hit by a rocket, was not overlooked either. In this, everyone saw only one thing – even through the years, Skovoroda shows us resistance to obstacles, perseverance of the will and, of course, a hint of our future victory. At the end of the meeting, everyone shared their impressions of what they saw and heard, expressed their gratitude for the received interesting information and unparalleled experience.

From our university, the 1st-year students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology including Viktoria Nasvit, Julia Kozachenko, Yevgenia Kozlovska, Julia Yerchenko took part in the tournament. They received certificates for their participation.
