National Reading Week at the ER IPP
15.12.2022
These days, the second All-Ukrainian National Reading Week is being held in Ukraine, which is being held by the Ukrainian Institute of the Book together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
The goal of this initiative is to draw attention to Ukrainian books in the country’s library funds, popularize reading and promote the development of literature in the native language.
For students and teachers of the ER IPP, who actively joined this action, the Ukrainian book is not only interesting content, but also modern life experience, a bright page of educational life, a step towards professional and scientific growth. A modern Ukrainian book is also a therapy for war trauma, enrichment with a unique experience, a path to healing.
With special interest, we immerse ourselves in the world of Ukrainian books during classes in the disciplines “Children’s literature with the basics of literary studies”, “Literature for preschool children”, “Modern children’s literature”, “Family reading”, “Effective reading”, we monitor genre and style, thematic trends in the world of books for young readers, we research the texts of modern domestic writers for the purpose of writing course and master’s projects, participation in scientific events of various levels, we popularize children’s books during practice in schools and preschool education institutions. Events traditionally organized in the ER IPP (Christmas readings, round tables, presentations of works by modern authors of children’s books, literary battles, creative contests) increase interest in Ukrainian books and contribute to its recognition.
The team of teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology sincerely congratulates all Ukrainians on a significant event! We wish our writers inspiration, new interesting ideas and projects, and readers – enjoyment and pleasure from reading!
