Students visited the museum

Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University visited the museum of exploits of participants in the liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster.

On the eve of the Day of Commemoration of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP, which is celebrated annually on December 14, the Trade Union Organization of Luhansk Taraas Shevchenko National University organized a trip to the museum of feats of participants in the liquidation of the Chornobyl disaster, where Petro Stepanovych Khimich – a participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, a member of the Lubny city public organization of the disabled “Veterans of Chornobyl” told how the liquidators were able to overcome the terrible tragedy at the cost of their lives and health, which happened on April 26, 1986 at the Chornobyl NPP.

Their feat cannot be overstated, just as the significance of what they did cannot be overstated. Heroism, patriotism and professional skills have been tested by time – all that was demonstrated by the liquidators in overcoming the consequences of the disaster.

We have no right to forget the self-sacrifice of the liquidators of the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, who went through all the circles of nuclear hell. Many of these people did not live to this day, having given their lives to preserve the life and health of future generations, we honor the memory of each of them!
