Students took part in the regional stage of international competitions in the Ukrainian language and literature among the student youth of the region.
Students of Starobilsk Professional College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Professional College of LTSNU traditionally took part in the regional stage of international competitions in the Ukrainian language and literature among the student youth of the region.
Thus, on December 10, the II (regional) stage of the XIII Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition took place. December 11 – the II (regional) stage of the XXIII International Competition named after Petro Yatsyk.
Due to the introduction of the legal regime of martial law and quarantine restrictions in the country, creative competitions had to be adapted to a remote format, so the writing took place online.
It is nice to note that students of both humanitarian and non-humanitarian profiles joined the competitions. Scattered by the war in different parts of the world, they were united by the power of their native language, the immortal word of Kobzar, and the opportunity to show their solidarity with other fans of the Ukrainian language.
The purpose of language and literary contests is to honor the creative heritage of Taras Shevchenko, identify creatively gifted youth, develop their potential, educate the younger generation to respect the language and traditions of their people, improve language education in Ukraine.
The organizers of the regional philological battles Serhii Zherlitsyn and Olga Savenkova deserve great respect and thanks, who rallied the participants in difficult conditions and created a warm friendly atmosphere.
Language for every nation is an inexhaustible treasury of the wisdom of generations, a nation’s genetic code that shapes and determines its future.
Let’s remember! Ukrainian people live only where the native word sounds!
