International Volunteer Day at the IPP
5.12.2022
On December 5, the entire civilized world celebrates the International Volunteer Day.
In 1985, the UN General Assembly suggested that governments annually celebrate December 5 as International Volunteer Day in the name of economic and social development.
Today, this holiday is especially relevant for Ukraine, because important help and responsibility during the war rests on the shoulders of volunteers. Volunteering has become a unique calling card of Ukrainians.
On this occasion, the advisor of the 1st course of the bachelor’s program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” of LTSNU held events dedicated to volunteering, where first-year students learned about the volunteering activities of teachers, students of the department and the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, which has especially intensified since 2014, after the invasion of Russia into the territory of Ukraine.
The team of the Department of Social Pedagogy of the ER IPP welcomes all volunteers! Volunteerism is embedded in the genetic code of Ukrainians, it is your active public position, carelessness and tireless work that adds to the belief that our people have a future. We are sure that all your good deeds will return to you a hundredfold. We wish you spiritual strength, health, inexhaustible energy and most importantly – PEACE! A low bow to all volunteers, with your help our people will stand, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will win!
