300 years since the birth of the Free Personality

The 300th anniversary of the birth of the Free Personality was celebrated at the Department of Preschool and Primary Education of the ER IPP. 

Recently, an interactive lecture was held at the Department of Preschool and Primary Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology for students of the specialties “Preschool Education”, “Primary Education”, “Primary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” on the topic: “Pedagogical Activity and Views of H. S. Skovoroda” (prof. S.O. Bader).

In honor of the jubilee date – 300 years since the birth of the philosopher and teacher – students got acquainted not only with the pedagogical views of Hryhorii Savovych, but also recalled interesting facts from his life, shared their impressions of the philosophical works they had read.

During the discussion, the winners came to a conclusion about the main goal of education, which was defined by H. Skovoroda – self-knowledge and self-improvement, the achievement of happiness by every person, which does not lose its relevance even today.

An interesting addition was the film about Hryhorii Skovoroda, which also sparked a lively discussion and encouraged us to reflect on the fate of an outstanding person from the point of view of modernity.
