Applicants’ day at the Faculty of Foreign Languages

Applicants’ Day was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
On November 30, the Faculty of Foreign Languages held the first Applicant’s Day of this academic year as part of the 2023 admission campaign of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The event was organized and held in two formats – online (for schoolchildren of Poltava, Poltava and Donetsk regions) on the Zoom platform, and offline – with the physical presence of faculty representatives in the city of Lubny, Poltava region, where the university administration currently works. Acting Dean of the faculty Iryna Myhovych, Vice Dean in charge of Educative Affairs Liudmyla Ovcharova, heads of departments and lecturers of the faculty attended the online meeting. The pupils represented the following institutions: Poltava School No. 11, Poltava Gymnasium No. 13, Poltava School No. 22, Poltava School No. 24, Poltava Gymnasium No. 33, Novosanzhar Lyceum, Kramatorsk Secondary School No. 22 with specialized training named after Mykola Mykolayovych Krupchenko of Kramatorsk City Council of Donetsk Region, Kremenchuck Gymnasium No. 2, Kremenchuck Lyceum No. 10 “Linguist”, Kremenchuck Gymnasium No. 22, Kremenchuck Lyceum No. 5 named after T.G. Shevchenko. During the presentation of the educational offer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in 2023, participants were asked to fill out an online registration form. In total, more than forty people attended the event.
The offline format of the event provided for the presence of the Vice Dean in charge of Social and Humanitarian Affairs Olha Korinska and Acting Head of the department of Foreign Languages for Specific Purposes Svitlana Shpetna in Lubny, where they presented the faculty at a press conference on the occasion of Applicant’s Day, which was organized by Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in cooperation with the City Council, the Department of Education of the Lubny City Council and the Cultural Center and leisure activities of the Lubny City Council.
During both formats of the event, potential applicants and lecturers of the faculty of foreign languages had the opportunity to communicate with each other, ask questions that interested them and receive professional answers.
