Meeting of the Scientific Discussion Group of Future Orientalists

On November 22, a meeting of the scientific discussion group of future Orientalists was held at the Department of Oriental Languages.

In accordance with the work plan, the head of the group – Natalia Fedicheva, associate professor of the Department of Oriental Languages, presented the report “Methodology of Scientific Research. Recommendations for writing scientific papers, theses of reports» The head  of the group drew the attention of those present to the fact that the research activity of students of higher educational institutions of Ukraine is one of the main factors in the training of highly qualified personnel of the relevant profile. At the same time, the concept of “scientific-research activity of the acquirer” includes two interrelated elements. This is the training of students in the elements of research activity, organization and methods of scientific creativity, and scientific research carried out by applicants under the guidance of professors and associate professors of the university. Also Fedicheva N.V. explained the origin of the word methodology and emphasized that domestic scientists consider methodology as a theory of research methods, the creation of scientific concepts, as well as a system of research methods.

At the end of the report, the attention of the students was drawn to the fact that preparations have already begun for the international scientific and practical conferences “Ukraine – China: Dialogue of Cultures” and “Modern Trends in Oriental Studies”, which have been held by the Department of Oriental Languages for more than fifteen years.
