In memory of the Holodomor victims

Every year on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine commemorates the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

The tragic pages of their past were flipped and remembered today by the teachers and students of the Starobilsk Professional College of the SI “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.
Historical documents, video and photo materials that reveal the essence of the Holodomor, its causes and consequences, and works of fiction were read at the thematic classes on history, literature, and educational classes, which testified to the cruel facts from the life of the Ukrainian people.

A deliberately created famine killed millions of living and unborn Ukrainians, and crippled the fate of those who survived.
We, the descendants of those Ukrainians who survived and endured that calamity, honor the memory of the victims of the Stalinist regime and do everything possible and impossible so that the terrible, hungry 33rd does not happen again in the future!
Today, by joining the “Light a candle” campaign, joining the national moment of silence, we remember those who save us from the genocide of 2022, those who defend our freedom and independence.

The pages of history repeat themselves.
Both then and now, the Russian regime is destroying us, the descendants of the free Cossacks.
But… Now Ukraine and the world are different. Today, Ukrainians have their own state, the Armed Forces, the support of the whole world, military, financial and diplomatic assistance. And the most important thing is the unity of the people.
Therefore, we will stand and win!
We remember!
Let’s unite!
We are winning!
