Victory of Luhansk powerlifters at the World Championship

At the open World Powerlifting Championship in Vyborg (Denmark), the national anthem of Ukraine was played in honor of the Luhansk powerlifters!

On November 16, Mykola Barannik, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, teacher of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports became the WORLD CHAMPION in powerlifting (weight category up to 83 kg), which is being held in Denmark. Mykola also set a world record in powerlifting in the “squat” exercise – the record weight was 375.5 kg.
We congratulate Mykola Barannik,  a sportsman from the city of Rubizhne and teacher of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports, on his victory! We wish you to reach new sports heights! New victories!!! Luhansk sportsmen keep their formation!!! Together to victory! Glory to Ukraine!

CHAMPION OF THE WORLD 2022 in the weight category up to 105 kg became Serhii Beliy, a master’s student majoring in “Sport”. With the same result in the total triathlon – 1022.5 kg, he won the gold from his compatriot “by his own weight”. Serhii finished the squat with a weight of 400 kg (small silver), in the bench press he fixed the bar weighing 295 kg (small gold) and in the deadlift he conquered 327.5 kg (small bronze).

Congratulations to the champion and trainer Leonid Plotnytskyi, who trained the athlete!!!

Silver medalist in the weight category up to 105 kg was Volodymyr Rysev became a sportsman from Kramatorsk, a student of the the ER IPES, majoring in “Sports” with the amount of triathlon, which is a new world record among veterans of the first age group – 1025 kg. In the squat, Volodymyr completed the exercise with a result of 385 kg (small bronze), in the bench press he managed to record a weight of 300 kg (small silver), in the deadlift the athlete conquered the bar weighing 340 kg (small silver). Congratulations to the athlete and his coaches Oleksii Bychkov and Alona Bychkova.

The national anthem of Ukraine was also played in honor of the graduates of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, who continue to carry the winning sports baton!!!

Kostiantyn Musienko – an athlete from Druzhkivka, a graduate of the ER IPES, became the champion in the weight category up to 93 kg. In the barbell squat, Konstiantyn recorded a weight of 387.5 kg. (small silver), in the bench press, the athlete set a new world record, which is now 351.5 kg. (small gold) and conquered 325 kg in the deadlift. The amount of triathlon of the champion was 1064 kg, which is now a new world record among men in the weight category up to 93 kg!

Oleksii Bychkov – an athlete from Kramatorsk, a graduate of the ER IPES at the 2022 World Powerlifting Championship, climbed to the top step of the podium in the category up to 120 kg. Bychkov lost a small medal to his rivals only in the squat, conquering 400 kg. In the bench press, he began a systematic climb to the podium. Oleksii has 325 kg and a small silver award. But in his crowning exercise, the athlete left no doubt as to who will be the world champion today. 375 kg in the active athlete and Oleksii wins his seventh title of the world champion, with a triathlon sum of 1100 kg!
