International Conference on Biodiversity Research

The scientists of the FNS took part in the 11th International Conference on Biodiversity Research at Daugavpils University.
From October 20 to 22, 2022, the 11th International Conference on Biodiversity Research was held at Daugavpils University (Daugavpils, Latvia).
Mykyta PEREGRYM, Candidate of Biological Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences took part in the offline work of the conference. At one of the sectional meetings, Mr. Mykyto presented an oral report “A WAY TO ORGANIZE BOTANICAL FIELD PRACTICES FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN CONDITIONS OF PANDEMICS OR/AND WARS”.
During the report, the scientist presented the results of research carried out by an international group of scientists from several countries: Mykyta Peregrym, Natalia Matsai, Yulia Havryliuk (Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University), Ingrid Turisova (Matej Bell University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia), Oleksandr Tashev (Forestry University, Bulgaria) and Erika Penzes-Konja (Karoli Esterhazy Catholic University, Hungary). It is worth noting that during the conference, Mr. Mykyta managed to establish new scientific contacts, agree on potential cooperation with botanists of the Baltic countries. Mykyta Peregrym’s personal invitation to join the editorial board of the scientific journal “Journal of Teacher Education for Sustainability” https://sciendo.com/journal/JTES, which is published by the Daugavpils University, included in the Scopus database and classified in the second quartile, became especially valuable.
