Embroidering Ukraine with Science

The Council of Young Scientists and Students participates in the large-scale All-Ukrainian project “Embroidering Ukraine with Science”.

In August of this year, the project “Embroidering Ukraine with science” was launched, initiated by the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The idea of the project is that young scientists from different regions of our country create a large embroidered map of Ukraine as a symbol of unity and scientific potential.

The goal of the project is to unite scientists in common aspirations for the revival and strengthening of Ukraine. The aim of young scientists is to remind the authorities about the openness of scientists to cooperation and the great desire to change the common world for the better. The embroidered map will become a symbol, a talisman for the state and those who devotedly care for its future.

Luhansk region is represented in the project by Vice Dean in charge of Social and Humanitarian Affairs of FFL, Lecturer at the Tranlation Studies Department, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olha Korinska.

Scientist from the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” are embroidering their region in evacuation, in the city of Poltava, where the university was temporarily evacuated in February 2022. Working far from their native home, our scientists and lecturers do not forget their native land and dream of returning home in the near future.

The map of Luhansk region with an authentic pattern will be part of the embroidered map of Ukraine, the size of which will reach 3m x 5m with a decorated frame of almost 7 km of threads of different colors, which will be handed over to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

We wish our scientists creative inspiration, unforgettable emotions and the desired result.
