Event dedicated to the Day of the Social Worker

The Department of Social Pedagogy held an event dedicated to the Day of the Social Worker.

November 4, 2022, the Department of Social Pedagogy held an event dedicated to the Day of the Social Worker in Ukraine, which, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated April 13, 1999, is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of November.

In Ukraine, the social sphere is represented by a wide range of state, communal, public and charitable organizations. Specialists of these institutions provide high-quality social services to citizens of all age groups who find themselves in a difficult life situation every day, create conditions for overcoming and preventing various negative phenomena of modern society. That is why the teaching staff of the Department invited practitioners of the social sphere of the state and public sectors to the event, in order for them to share their work experience, and for students to expand their understanding of the work of social sphere institutions in different regions of Ukraine.

Students had the opportunity to get to know about the activities of such organizations as: International Charitable Organization “SOS Children’s Villages” (Vinnytsia, Poltava, Fastiv), Territorial Center of Social Services (Lubny), mobile brigade of social and psychological assistance to victims of violence (Khmelnytskyi), BF Paritet (Khmelnytskyi), as well as with the project of the Humanitarian Financing Fund (Ivano-Frankivsk).
It is nice to note that most of the speakers invited to the event are graduates and students of our Department, and all the represented organizations are permanent partners of the university.

On the eve of the professional holiday, the staff of the Department of Social Pedagogy sincerely congratulates all practitioners of the social sphere, teachers and students majoring in 231 “Social Work”! We wish you peace, health, confidence in the future, faith in yourself, in Ukraine, and victory over all difficult life circumstances. May you always be accompanied by kindness and faith in the generosity of the human soul, the desire and ability to be useful to people. Glory to Ukraine!
