Commemorative dates at the ER IPP

Students majoring in “Elementary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” of the ER IPP joined the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Hryhorii Kostiuk.
This year, in October, the Ukrainian community celebrates the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist, writer, literary critic, critic, publicist, memoirist, historian, journalist, public and political figure of the Ukrainian diaspora Hryhorii Kostiuk and honors his memory.
Hryhorii Kostiuk is the author of numerous scientific and scientific-journalistic works on literary studies, the founder of scientific Vynnychenko studies, one of the founders and the first chairman of the association of Ukrainian writers of emigration “Slovo”. The works and diaries of V. Vynnychenko, M. Khvylovoi, works of M. Kulish, V. Pidmohylnyi, M. Drai-Khmara and others were published under his editorship and with his comments. His memoirs “Meetings and Farewells” (1987, 1998) became a unique document of Ukrainian cultural life in Ukraine and beyond.
The name of H.O. Kostiuk is associated with Luhansk region. During 1934, he taught the theory and history of Ukrainian literature at the Institute of Public Education (now Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University).
Students majoring in “Elementary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology joined the celebrations on the occasion of the jubilee anniversary of the outstanding scientist and public figure. On the third of November, on the Google meet platform, the teachers of the Department of Philological Disciplines held a seminar “Hryhorii Kostiuk and his time”, which was attended by students of the final courses. It outlined the contribution of H. Kostyuk to the study of the aesthetic and cultural phenomenon of the era, the revival of Ukraine, presented the most famous achievements of the scientist in the field of literary studies, characterized the importance of educational activities in the East of Ukraine.
