Circle of psychological support
4.11.2022
On November 2, on the initiative of the Primary Trade Union Organization, a circle of psychological support and recovery for women from among the teaching staff was held at LTSNU.
The event was held by the Poltava Regional Youth Public Organization “Your World”. Before the start of the meeting, the head of the organization, Oleksandr Chepur, told the audience about the activities of the public organization, in particular, the possibilities of cooperation in the implementation of projects supported by international donors, the development of student self-governance, and internships for students on the basis of the public organization.
The event was attended by: Deputy Mayor Iryna Kharchenko and Head of the Family, Youth and Sports Department of the Lubny City Council Executive Committee Svitlana Skyba. Iryna Kharchenko emphasized the importance of cooperation between the relocated university and public organizations and presented Oleksandr Chepur with an honorary certificate of the Poltava Regional Military Administration for his significant contribution to the development of youth policy in the region.
During the meeting, women performed exercises to relieve psycho-emotional tension and stress: hand breathing, square breathing, butterfly hugs (to relieve muscle tension). The participants chose metaphorical cards to find an additional resource in a crisis situation.
The very fact and scale of the relocation had a significant impact not only on the participants of the educational process, but also forced the university to adapt to existence in new realities. Students and teachers faced financial, technological and psychological problems. Therefore, such meetings and cooperation, the organizers believe, will contribute to the establishment of the educational process, the restoration of the lost infrastructure and the adaptation of the university in a new place.
At the end, the participants received sets of feminine hygiene products. The circle of support and recovery for women and the provision of hygiene kits took place thanks to the help of the German Marshall Fund in the USA.
