Participation in Research Workshops from Penn State

The associate professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in workshops from the University of Pennsylvania.
From September 23, 2022, the annual Research Workshops from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) started, which will last until November 11, 2022 – Fall 2022 Penn State Workshops in Research Methods for Applied Linguists, hosted by the Center for Language Acquisition.
Olena Byndas, Ph.D., the associate professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology participates in a series of workshops, the topics of which correspond to the disciplines of the Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The second workshop took place on October 27, 2022 and is dedicated to scientific research in the field of methodology “The Methodology of Language Aptitude Research”, Shaofeng Li, Florida State University, which is of great importance in the training of students of specialties “014 Secondary Education. Language and Literature (English, German, French, Spanish)”.
For the professional development of teachers around the world, the Pennsylvania State University offers interesting research workshops, such as: “Sociolinguistics and Second Language Acquisition Research” (Kimberly Geeslin, Indiana University), “Research Methods for the Study of Language Aptitude” (Shaofeng Li, Florida State University), “Integrating Corpus- and Genre-Based Approaches to Academic Writing Research and Pedagogy” (Xiaofei Lu, Penn State University) and many others.
