The purpose of the project is to inform about the features of the formation and implementation of the environmental policy of the European Union and the expediency of adapting some of its provisions for the purpose of “green” restoration of Ukraine. Among the tasks outlined is familiarity with the European Green Course – a road map for achieving a sustainable economy with a reduction to a minimum of greenhouse gas emissions in Europe by 2050 and “uncoupling” economic growth with the volume of resource consumption.

Experts of the project are: 1) Ms. Daryna Kulaga – Head of the Emissions Management Department of the Innovation Department of the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, an expert on the European Green Course;2) Ms. Oksana Lutsenko – coordinator of the “Green Business Ukraine” Partnership, expert in the implementation of the ecological concept of business; 3) Mr. Dmytro Naumenko – co-founder of the Ukrainian Center for European Policy, local consultant of “Berlin Economics”, expert in energy efficiency and energy saving.

The first stage of the project implementation includes a webinar focused on the following issues:

  • How does the war in Ukraine affect the environment and what will be the plan to restore a “green” Ukraine?
  • European Green Deal: what does it mean for Ukraine?
  • What is the role of oil and gas companies in achieving climate neutrality?
  • What are the instruments for saving energy and financial support for energy efficiency?

It is possible to join the webinar on November 3 at 16:00 on Zoom. It is free of charge. All participants will receive certificates. Those interested can register using the link: https://bit.ly/3SBqWof.
