Online lecture from the French linguist Patrick Charodeau

Lecturers and students of Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in a lecture by an outstanding French linguist, Professor of the University of Paris XIII, Patrick Charodeau «L’analyse du discours et son application au discours de manipulation».

On October 20, 2022, the second online lecture of the outstanding French linguist and professor of the University of Paris XIII, Patrick Charodeau, “L’analyse du discours et son application au discours de manipulation”, was held, organized and conducted by the Department of Romance Philology of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University and the Association of French Language Teachers of Ukraine.

The lecturers of French language of the faculty: the associate professor of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology L.Shapovalova, and the lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Vice Dean in charge of Educative Affairs L.Ovcharova, as well as students of the second year of the specialty 014 “Secondary education. Language and literature (French, English)” Viktoriya Skachkova and Alina Kotova joined the lecture.

The lecture on the peculiarities of manipulative discourse was conducted in an interesting manner, supported by a presentation on the types of manipulation and manipulative discourse.

The full cycle of lectures represents the direction of scientific research of Patrick Charaudeau and is intended for philologists and a wide range of people who speak French.
