Advertising texts are a special type of content that is created for the purpose of presenting or promoting goods/services to increase their sales. In fact, effective advertising text attracts the attention of target customers and increases sales. And its translation is a job for specialists with a well-developed imagination and creativity.

Thus, during the master class, students learned about the classification and peculiarities of writing and translating advertising texts, and were able to verify in practice that this is a sufficiently complex, but interesting work.

Advertising slogans of world-famous brands were taken for translation, such as: Dove, Ikea, Lancome, Chevrolet, Adidas, Kenzo Parfums, Samsung, Scottish textile, Philips etc. Despite the fact that the translations of the following advertising slogans are well known to everyone, the participants had the opportunity to think about their own and interpret it according to the time-space characteristics.

The master class was useful for future translators and confirmed that there is always something to impress in this profession.
