On October 19, the head of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education Viktor Burdun took part in the final conference of the project “Strengthening the Local Economy and Good Governance”.
This project was supported by the Council of Europe: Decentralization and Local Self-Government.
The participants of the final conference answered the following questions:
- What role does school play in community development?
- How do school co-working spaces help local residents and IDPs to get along?
- What do schools need for change?
- What can active teachers, students and active community residents do in just 5.5 months?
During the conference, the results of the work of five school co-working spaces, which won a grant, received equipment and took part in a social project, were summed up.
Coworking in schools united not only youth, teachers, administration, but also community residents, IDPs, and the City Council. After all, the well-being of the community depends on how many residents of the community are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, how many jobs they have created, and how much they have strengthened the local budget.
Entrepreneurs are also interested in cooperation with co-working spaces and schools, because they can share experience, get new ideas and train new future workers for their enterprises.
Coworking is a departure from traditional lesson models, it is even more than a project activity.
