15.10.2022
The Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine was celebrated at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts.
On October 14, teachers and students celebrated the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine at the Institute of Culture and Arts. An online congratulatory concert was prepared by the student self-government and teachers, which can be viewed by everyone. Also, a link to this concert was sent to military personnel studying at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts.
The teacher of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography Larisa Borysenko and the second-year student majoring in “Musical Art” took part in the university-wide event for the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine. They sang songs in the Lubny Military Hospital.
At the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, advisors of the groups held an online round table dedicated to today’s holidays – the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine, the Day of the Foundation of the UPA and the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God.
Teachers and students also took part in the university charity event “14 UAH until October 14”. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University purchased gift sets for patients of the Lubny Military Hospital using these collected money.
We bow to our soldiers for protection. We get used to the good, we perceive it as the usual state of affairs. But we must not forget: when we study, have fun, travel, in a word – live, there are those who, with weapons in their hands, day and night, and in the heat and in the frost, defend our Motherland from the invaders, so that all of us can live ordinary life, and Ukraine had autonomy and independence.
Today’s holiday concerns not only men, because among Ukrainian soldiers there are many brave and strong women and girls who, not giving in to men, courageously perform their difficult duty. We thank them all: brave men and women, boys and girls from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Service and other law enforcement agencies. We thank volunteers, doctors and everyone who serves Ukraine.
