Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine was celebrated in Myrhorod

The educational subdivisions of LTSNU in Myrhorod celebrated the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine.

According to the long-standing tradition of Luhansk Taras ShevchenkoNational University, educational structural subdivisions located in Myrhorod held a series of charity events for the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine.

On the eve of the national holiday, which is celebrated on October 14, the student self-government of colleges, faculties and institutes organized a charity event “Amulets for Defenders”. For more than a week, students, together with teachers and employees, worked on making patriotic souvenirs.

As part of university events, the campaign “14 hryvnias until October 14” was held: all those willing were invited to donate money to congratulate our soldiers. The funds collected during charity events were used to buy gifts for defenders who are currently undergoing rehabilitation in Myrhorod region.

On Intercession Day, they also organized and held small congratulatory meetings for the military, which took place in an incredibly warm atmosphere and gave everyone a positive charge. The poems recited by the students evoked a lot of emotions, because each of their words came from the heart, was filled with goodness, gratitude, faith, and hope for our victory.

The day ended with memories of the participants of the event about their hometowns and the incredible beauty of Ukraine. All those willing talked about their small homeland and shared the warmest memories of their past, as well as dreams for the future of our country.
