Happy Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine!
14.10.2022
Dear educators, staff and students! Dear our defenders and defendresses! We sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine!
It is not for nothing that the holiday of the defenders of Ukraine is celebrated in Ukrainian society on October 14, the day of the great Orthodox holiday – the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God. The Holy Intercession has long been the protector of the Cossack army and all Ukrainian armed forces. It was on the Feast of the Intercession that the Great Cossack Council was held, at which the future hetman was elected and the future life of the Cossacks was decided.
This year, when Russia insidiously attacked our country and yawned at its freedom and independence, the holiday of defenders of Ukraine takes on a special significance! It is difficult to imagine a greater manifestation of patriotism than courageously standing up for the defense of one’s Motherland.
We express our sincere gratitude to each of our defenders who defend Ukraine today and honor the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom! It is thanks to you, dear defenders, that every day our university can continue its work – to educate our students, to form people worthy of their state and specialists qualified to the highest standards. After all, it is in their young and energetic hands that we will hand over our native Motherland, it is on them that its future and prosperity will depend.
We thank you! Happy holiday!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces! Together for victory!
