Jean Monnet Summer School

Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages joined the Jean Monnet Summer School.
Students majoring in “Philology. Germanic Languages and Literatures (including translation), the first is English): Olena Guzichenko “Translation (English, Chinese)” and Oksana Ladyka “Secondary education. Language and Literature (German). Language and Literature (German, English)” joined the summer school, which is implemented within the framework of the Jean Monnet module “EU experience for increasing the level of youth employment through the development of professional skills”, financed by the Erasmus+ program (ERASMUS – JMO -2021-MODULE -SKILLS4JOB -101047867).
Meetings within the framework of the project are scheduled from October 3 to 7. Also, participants were additionally invited to complete the full course and obtain a certificate in 1 ECTS by joining the open online course “Professional skills for the EU market” on the educational resource of Sumy State University “Examinerium” until October 20.
The aim of the course is to increase the employability potential of graduates by strengthening their cross-industry marketable skills that correspond to the labor market, EU standards and values.
And the tasks are the following:
- providing students with in-depth practical knowledge and awareness of EU values and the EU approach to the development of professional skills;
- raising awareness of the range of EU grants open to Ukraine for the period 2021-2027 as an additional opportunity for project development;
- promoting the formation of intercultural competences, communication skills to increase the chances of graduates to get a job in European companies located in Ukraine or Europe;
- raising awareness of various models of business behavior based on the cultural characteristics of European countries;
- development of analytical skills and the ability to use modern digital tools to support project activities and the ability to use the requirements of EU programs when drawing up reports, as well as the skills of analyzing large data sets in professional activities.
