Charitable events

Charitable events for the Defenders Day of Ukraine, organized by the student self-government, took place at the University.

On the eve of the national holiday – the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine, which is celebrated on October 14, the student self-government led by the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olena Karaman and the head of the Primary Trade Union Organization Volodymyr Moroz held a series of charitable events.

The campaign “14 UAH until October 14” was held, within the framework of which everyone who wanted to could donate money to support our soldiers. Funds were collected not only at the university, but also outside it – on the streets of Lubny city. This made it possible to join the action not only for students, teachers and employees of the university, but also for caring residents of the city. The student self-government also made patriotic pendants for cars and stylish brooches in national colors. The funds received from the sale of souvenirs were also directed to the charitable fund.

Another charitable event was the action “Hand in the waste paper – help the Armed Forces of Ukraine!” As part of the event, residents of Shevchenko “de-Russified” their own home libraries – they handed over books by Russian writers and figures for waste paper. Funds from waste paper delivery were directed to the charitable fund.

With all the funds collected during charitable events, gift sets were purchased for our wounded defenders, who are currently being treated and undergoing rehabilitation at the Lubny Military Hospital. Thus, the purpose of student self-government was to support our soldiers and sincerely express gratitude for the protection of our Motherland.

We sincerely thank our guys who heroically and courageously defend our freedom at the cost of their health, we wish them a speedy recovery and victory!

Glory to Ukraine! Together for victory!
