A meeting with a stakeholder was held at the Translation Studies Department.

On September 28, the Translation Studies Department held a meeting with a stakeholder Oleh Mykhailovych Kryvokhizha, co-founder of the GlobeCore company. The meeting was attended by Master`s degree students, students of all courses, future translators studying English, Chinese, Japanese, and lecturers of the department.

Meetings with future employers are always interesting and promising for graduates, as they open up certain opportunities for getting a job, expanding professional connections, increasing knowledge in various fields of activity, which is necessary for their future successful work.

A positive and friendly atmosphere immediately arose at the meeting. Oleh Mykhailovych introduced the listeners to the features of the company’s work, which conducts successful international activities in the field of production and sale of oil for transformers, widely in demand in foreign markets, as well as the production of some mechanisms for the oil industry, which work all over the world. At the same time, the stakeholder drew attention to the peculiarities of the translation department’s activities and the possible prospects of graduates who have special education necessary for successful work.

Speaking about the training of translators, it was stated that it is advisable to conduct production practices at the enterprise, studying the peculiarities of production, special vocabulary related to this production. This enables the translator to provide a qualified translation that meets all necessary professional requirements.

The excursion to the enterprise, planned for November, will help to expand both the general and professional horizons of students of the first (Bachelor`s) level of higher education. And students of the second (Master’s) level of higher education will be able to make a more informed choice of their future activities, to make a qualified translation that will meet all the necessary professional requirements.
