Google Digital Tools for Education

Representatives of the Faculty of Foreign Languages completed the course Google Digital Tools for Education.

In the period from September 5 to 26, Liudmyla Ovcharova, Vice-Dean in charge of Educative Affairs, lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, and Olha Korinska, Vice-Dean in charge of Social and Humanitarian Affairs, lecturer of the Translation Studies Department, head of the Council of Young Scientists and students listened to a course of lectures totaling 47 hours (1.57 ECTS credits).

The course included five modules, each of which consisted of a video lecture, practical tasks, and a final test and was designed to process the materials for 2-3 hours daily.

The training took place with the aim of forming the digital and professional competence of scientific and pedagogical staff regarding the use of Google’s digital tools.

Course participants learned: how to organize effective interaction between participants in the educational process using Google’s digital tools; what are the features and advantages of Google Workspace for Education; how to work with the account of the institution of higher education on different devices: using a computer and a mobile device; how to create and maintain a personal information environment of a teacher of a higher education institution.

Attention was also paid to the organization of distance learning: preparation of tasks in virtual rooms, participation in secure video meetings, organization of automatic import of grades, keeping electronic journals, sending reports to guardians, forming reports for management and using the capabilities of devices of the secure online educational process.

At the end of the training, the lecturers received Certificates.
