Open lecture for national partners

The associate professor of the Translation Studies Department held an open lecture for students of the Poltava University.

On September 9, 2022, as part of the cooperation between the Poltava State Agrarian University and the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, a practicing professional, developer of the standard of higher education in the specialty Philology, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Translation Studies Department, Svitlana Perova, held a lecture for Master’s students in the specialty 035 Philology ( 035.041 Germanic languages and literatures (including translation), the first is English).

During the lecture, the topic “Communication as a form of human activity” was covered, which is a component of the discipline “Communicative strategies of English and German” for the second (Master’s) level of higher education.

The main concepts of the topic and their relationship were characterized, the peculiarities of the use of “human communication” in the training of future translators were analyzed, the specifics of the main types of human communication and their impact on the translator’s work were revealed.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department and students studying for a Master’s Degree had the opportunity to participate in the discussion of issues related to the topic of the meeting, as well as the specifics of the construction and implementation of the standard of higher education in the Philology in the context of the formation of professional competencies of the future philologist-translator.
