A representative of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology takes part in research workshops.
On September 23, 2022, the annual Research Workshops from Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) started, which will continue until November 11, 2022. – Fall 2022 Penn State Workshops in Research Methods for Applied Linguists, hosted by the Center for Language Acquisition.
The head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Ph.D., associate professor Olena Byndas. The first workshop is devoted to scientific research in the field of sociolinguistics “Sociolinguistics and Second Language Acquisition Research” (Kimberly Geeslin, Indiana University), which is of great importance for teaching the discipline “Sociolinguistics” to students of the 4th year of the specialty “014 Secondary Education. Language and literature (English)”.
For the professional development of teachers around the world, Pennsylvania State University offers interesting research workshops, such as: “Research Methods for the Study of Language Aptitude” (Shaofeng Li, Florida State University), “Integrating Corpus- and Genre-Based Approaches to Academic Writing Research and Pedagogy” (Xiaofei Lu, Penn State University) and other.
