Educational event dedicated to the Day of Peace

The university subdivisions held an educational event dedicated to the Day of Peace in the city of Myrhorod. 

The International Day of Peace has been celebrated around the world since 1981 on the initiative of the UN General Assembly as a day of global rejection of violence and fire. In Ukraine, the “Day of Peace” was established by the Presidential Decree dated February 5, 2002 and is celebrated annually on September 21 – the International Day of Peace.

In order to form a deep understanding of issues related to peace, to expand students’ knowledge about the importance of peace on earth, to foster humanism, patriotism and love for one’s people, an educational event was held in the structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in Myrhorod. Organizers of the event: deputy for social and humanitarian work of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business Yuliia Butenko, deputy for social and humanitarian work of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Iryna Isaienko and teacher of special mechanical disciplines at the Rubizhne Professional College Liubov Andropova.

The organizers held a conversation about the greatest happiness in the world – peace, when people live in harmony and peace, the earth does not tremble from terrible explosions, tears of grief and loss are not shed. Also, students in a large circle of friends jointly painted a poster for this holiday.

The day of September 21 is dedicated to the ideals of peace both in relations within countries and in relations between all states and peoples, and is designed to make everyone not only think, but also do something for the sake of peace on Earth.
