According to the developers of the programme, “Planning and implementing an educational component with English teaching material in an environment where English is not the first language requires a thorough review of the aims and outcomes of the component.”
In the course of training, programme participants will deepen their knowledge of the key principles of development, implementation and teaching of disciplines in English; understanding of modern innovative teaching and learning methodology and strategies, etc. Accordingly, the programme methodology is based on three key principles: Contextualised and purposeful –the number of educational modules involves the use of authentic academic sources for examples and the study of relevant features of teaching the programme; Interesting and relevant – interactive elements of classes are designed to stimulate interest and meet specific needs; Interactive and confidence building – the developed educational modules maximize interaction and participation, give participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate in the created educational environment.
The participation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the programme will contribute to the improvement of the educational content of the university within the framework of the activities of those structural units where the organization of the educational process for foreign citizens from the countries of Asia, the People’s Republic of China and the Far East, at the bachelor’s / master’s level, is planned.
