Memorandum with the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University signed a memorandum with the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business.

Thus, on September 19, in Kyiv, university rector Olena Karaman and member of the Presidium of the Association “Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business” Alex Lissitsa signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The subject of the Memorandum was the introduction of the newest master’s program “Agrokebety” at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University by updating the existing educational program “Agronomy”, promoting the training of specialists and managers of agricultural enterprises, spreading innovative and advanced knowledge, as well as skills in the field of agriculture and management, improving efficiency and the quality of the educational process.

According to the Memorandum, both parties agreed to establish and develop phased academic cooperation to promote educational and scientific exchange between the administration, teachers, researchers, students and staff through joint projects, programs and other activities.

The university’s participation in the educational project “Agrokebety” will improve the quality of the “Agronomy” educational program through a series of joint activities: introducing new educational components to it, organizing and conducting advertising and marketing campaigns, attracting potential applicants; invitation of lecturers-practitioners from agribusiness, foreign lecturers; organization of practical visits to agricultural enterprises; organization of practice and scientific research at agricultural enterprises; employment of graduates; providing scholarships to the best students, etc.

During the signing of the Memorandum, Olena Karaman and Alex Lissitsa exchanged views on the future development of the agronomic sector of Ukraine based on the implementation of the educational project “Agrokebety” in the Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine and the effective interaction of educators, scientists, agrarian practitioners and representatives of agrarian business.

To commemorate the meeting, the Rector of the University presented Alex Lissitsa with a coin with the university image, issued for its 100th anniversary.

The meeting took place in a warm and working atmosphere. This event for the university is a step towards improving the quality of training of specialists in the agricultural sector.
