Entrance exams for postgraduate studies in mathematics

On September 9, the last entrance exams for postgraduate studies in mathematics were held.

In particular, the work of the examination committee for the specialty 111 Mathematics was organized, which included leading teachers of the Department of Algebra and System Analysis. The Head of the Department, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Yurii Zhuchok addressed all those present with a welcoming speech.

After listening to the answer of applicant Yana Tsis to the question of the examination ticket, the members of the commission noted a sufficient level of training. During the conversation, the future scientific supervisor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Anatolii Zhuchok joined in, who outlined the topic of the planned research and the range of scientific questions that will be considered in the research work of the future graduate student.

It is worth noting that the Algebraic School at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has long-standing traditions and is associated with the activities of outstanding mathematicians, trains highly qualified specialists who develop the mathematical research field not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.
