Intership at the University of Bialystok (Poland)

An associate professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages is undergoing an online internship at the University of Bialystok (Poland).
Svitlana Perova, an Associate Professor of the Translation Studies Department, is undergoing an online internship “Teaching and Research in a Contemporary University: Challenges, Solutions, and Perspectives” at the University of Bialystok (Poland).
The purpose of the internship is to deepen the knowledge and develop the competencies of scientific and pedagogical workers of Ukrainian universities from the point of view of challenges, solutions and perspectives in teaching and research activities in a modern university. The internship program provides for the mastering of materials in the following modules:
- Tutoring in the teacher’s work;
- Online education – tools to activate students;
- Scholarships, internships, research grants – how to prepare a good application?;
- Learning space during the coronavirus pandemic – students’ experience;
- Theory and practice of public speaking;
- Universal design in higher education;
- Publication of works in prestigious scientific journals – from idea to implementation.
For each educational module, an online lecture (using the Zoom platform) and a package of educational materials have been prepared for use by participants.
All internship participants, using references to the literature on the topic, analysis of examples, as well as practical tasks, will improve their competence in applying various methods and forms of working with students (teaching creative thinking, tutoring, interactive online tools), improve their research skills ( writing scientific articles, the art of public speaking) and will develop concrete solutions for the introduction of new practices in various spheres of their own scientific and pedagogical activity.
